Black Bear Records is an independent record label founded in 1996 by singer/songwriter Bob Nicholson whose goal is help up and coming singer/songwriters who aspire to put their music out on CD and have it distributed and available on the internet. Being a full service company, Black Bear Records has at their disposal a recording studio (Black Bear Recording), a publishing company (Hyde Music, member of ascap), cdr duplication with complete color artwork design and full production and arranging.
By having everything in house, Black Bear Records keeps the cost of services at a bare minimum while allowing the artist to generate a much larger share of royalty income for themselves without the typical uneccessary wastful deductions.
